The Red Cross Society of the Republic of Moldova

is a non-governmental, non-profit, apolitical organization and operates on the basis of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova No. 234/1992 of 01.12.1992, Law No. 139 of 10.05.2001 regarding the "Red Cross Society of Moldova" and the Statute of the Red Cross and the Statute of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

SCRM is currently in a period of intense development and, thanks to the Society's partners, we are involved in several humanitarian projects, in the implementation of which we are looking for new talents.

Job title: Public communication specialist (communication officer)

Term: determined, with the possibility of extension;

Place of work: Republic of Moldova, Chisinau, Centru village;

Work schedule: Full-time 5/2, 8 hours/day, 9.00 – 17.30, 30 min lunch break (possible some activities outside working hours, dictated by the humanitarian mission, compensated with other rest time)

Experience in the field: minimum 1 year (within an NGO will present an advantage)

Employment period: fixed, with possible extension

Objective and status of the position:

Planning, development, implementation and evaluation of information and communication strategies, which ensure the favorable image of the Red Cross Society of Moldova, its role within the community, its activities/programs, the implementation of communication and media activities, which will strengthen the follow the image of the National Society, which will lead to increased donations and funding to support ongoing programs.

Requirements:
Knowledge:

PC operation: Word, Excel, Power Point;
photo/video editing, advanced Internet browsing skills;
operation with PR materials development tools (infographics, video spots, newsletter, etc.);
advanced level of communication in Romanian, Russian and English, knowledge of other international languages ​​is an advantage;
Skills:

high level of verbal/written communication, skills in organizing trainings, giving speeches;
good organizational skills;
ability to independently present a range of compelling communication content, including human interest stories, social media content and audio-visual materials;
skills of presentation, negotiation, interest creation, interpersonal relations;
availability for travel within the territory of the Republic of Moldova as well as outside the country.
